Rutger Bandell, born May 2003, started his musical journey at an early age with great interest in percussion. While expanding his drumming skills in high school, he started playing piano and began writing his own songs. After producing mostly electronic music over the first years, he got accepted into the Prins Claus Conservatoire’s Composition and Music Production Bachelor, where he dived into the world of Jazz, Soul and other recorded productions.
In 2024, Rutger produced a full EP together with Yumei named “Thoughts of Mine”, which defines his Jazz and Soul influences, organically combined with synths and electronics. After finishing the project, he collaborated with Nienke Witkamp to fully produce her EP “Dear Self”, which contains elements of Folk, Singer-Songwriter and Rock.
“When I started writing songs about 2 years ago I never thought I would be releasing an EP by now, working together with a talented producer like Rutger. Safe to say I’m really proud of what we created!”

Now that Rutger has finished his fourth and final year of his Bachelor, he is starting to take on bigger projects, collaborating with many different artists in order to print his signature sound onto the industry. He’s gaining more and more experience while transitioning to a professional music producer, quickly becoming a versatile asset in the world of music creation.
